Oats are excellent in fiber and it is good to include oats in our daily diet.
Many recipes have come up using oats, which makes it easy to have oats in a tasty way. One such recipe is ‘Oats poori’, made of wholesome ingredients that help you to consume oats in a tastier way.

- 1 cup oats
- 1 cup whole wheat atta
- 1 cup chopped coriander
- ½ cup finely chopped onions
- Red chilli powder to taste
- Salt to taste
- A pinch of asafetida
- Oil for frying
Take oats in a mixing bowl. To this add atta, red chilli powder, salt, asafetida, onions and coriander.
Add 2 tsp oil and knead the dough with water similar to chapathi dough. Cover it and keep aside for 15-20 minutes.
Make lemon sized balls of the dough. Meanwhile heat oil for deep-frying in a kadai. Apply little oil to the plate of a poori presser and press the dough.
Make all the pooris in a similar way. Fry in hot oil over a medium flame till crisp and light brown. Serve hot with tomato sauce.
