Curd rice is a rice recipe that is most popular in South India.
As the name suggests, curd rice is a recipe where you just need curd and rice as main ingredients.
The delicious curd rice is prepared on festivals even. The recipe requires less efforts and time.
It can be included in your main course.

- 1 cup rice (boiled)
- 2 cups yoghurt
- ½ cup milk
- 1 tsp urad dal
- 1 tsp chana dal
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 2 inch ginger (chopped)
- 2 green chilies
- 2 tsp oil
- 2 tblsp desiccated Coconut
- Coriander leaves
- Salt to taste
Heat oil in a saucepan and add mustard seeds to it.
Let the seeds splutter.
When they start popping, put chana daal and urad daal to it. Saute it for a minute.
Add ginger, green chilies and coriander leaves to it.
Saute them for a minute and remove the pan from flame. Add rice and coconut to it.
If you immidieatley need to serve the rice then add curd and milk also.
Else add curd and milk when yu have to serve the rice.
Serve them warm.
