This mutton chutney is a unique recipe, which can be prepared with fewer ingredients.
This chutney can be preserved by refrigerating and can be had whenever you feel like along with rice and other curries.
Cooking time: 30 min
- 250 gms mutton
- 20 gms dry red chilies
- 1 tsp mustard
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
- ½ tsp turmeric powder
- 150 gms tomatoes
- Salt to taste
- 60 gms refined oil
Choose boneless mutton and clean it.
Heat some oil in a pan and add turmeric, ½ tsp mustard, ½ tsp cumin seeds, ginger garlic paste and few dry red chilies and fry for sometime. Add pieces of mutton, stir well and add sufficient water to it. Close the lid and cook.
After cooking the meat for sometime add chopped tomatoes and salt. Close the lid and cook till the meat is done and tomatoes soften.
Cool it and grind in a mixer till soft.
Heat the remaining oil in a pan. Drop in remaining mustard, cumin seeds and dry red chilies and let them crackle. Add grinded meat and mix well. Let it remain of the stove for sometime on a low flame.
Mutton chutney is now ready.
