Creamy Mash

Cook your potatoes in advance, scoop out the flesh, then this can be reheated as you add your butter and cream in a saucepan. Easy!

Preparation time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: 40 minutes


  • 4 large roasting potatoes
  • Around 50g butter, more or less depending on your liking
  • Salt and pepper
  • Dash of double cream

Method of Preparation

Make a cross in the top of each potato with a knife.

Roast in the oven at 200C for one hour.

Once cooked, scoop out the potato from the flesh into a bowl. Add the butter, cream, and stir together. Mash if needed, though it should be pretty soft anyway

Season well and taste.
